FAQ
- I want to schedule a picture day, what do I do?
Call us at 281-491-2738 or email mary@stoptimephotography.com. You will need to know a few dates and times that would work for you. - What does picture day cost the coach/school/club?
Picture day does not cost the coach/school/club anything unless we are doing banners that the school/club are paying for. For just a regular team and individual picture day, we make our money from the packages and a la carte items that the parents purchase. We do encourage the coach/school/club to send out the link and/or flyers to the parents. In return for the support, we do 10% of net picture package sales, and 5% of net a la carte sales back to the program in the form of a credit to be used within the next 18 months. This credit can be used towards banners, printed headshots, extra team prints, schedule posters, etc.
- What do I need to provide to schedule with Stop Time Photography?
You will be asked for the date and time you are interested in as well as how many athletes in total, and how many teams. - Is there anything else that you will need to schedule?
Information that we need before the shoot includes a roster by team that includes the team name, Athlete's first name and last name, jersey number if there is one for the sport. If it is a Fine Arts Program, it would be group name, First and Last name. For sports, we need to know if you want to do the shoot on the natural playing environment and if you want the natural environment as the background or if you are wanting a digital background. - What is the difference between natural playing environment (indoor/outdoor) and digital background?
Pictures can be taken indoors or outdoors. Indoors provides the most consistent lighting and a faster workflow as it is more controlled. The natural playing environment is where you play. Example: Volleyball is taken indoors as that is where they play. The shoot can take place on the court with a volleyball net (natural environment) or it can be taken to where a digital background is put in (most often taken against a lighted background or solid color wall). Soccer and Football are outdoor sports so the natural environment would be on the grass or turf soccer field, but we can do indoors and put in digital backgrounds. - What about team/group pictures?
There are ultimately two types of team/group pictures: Composite and Regular
Composite team/group photos consist of each athlete/person taken individually and digitally put together. This can be everyone standing with hands behind the back, or a more dynamic of multiple poses used and then put together digitally.
Regular team/group photos consist of lining up everyone from one team tallest to shortest and building rows with everyone until all are in the photo and then taking the picture of everyone on the team at once.
